Somewhere Under the Rainbow

Well our Fourth of July baby is growing like a weed and she brought her big brothers, Grandee, and mom & dad out for a family session. After all, the family portrait IS outdated now! The forecast said rain but we didn’t have a backup date that would fit everyone’s schedules so we decided to just chance it. And it rained. Almost as soon as we got out there, we had to take a break and run for shelter. But right after that, the most beautiful rainbow appeared as if it were scheduled just for our photo session! It only lasted for a few minutes of course, so how lucky are we that we happened to be standing just in the right spot?

Talk about cutting it close. I think we have a new record for people trying to slip in family pictures before they leave Okinawa. The K family had already been kicked out of their house– but they saved picture day clothing from the packers! Two days they were gone. I didn’t even have time to finish the gallery first! But I’m glad things worked out and I at least had a slot to come out and click away that morning. The beauty of living in the digital age means that I can show you the gallery from halfway around the world. So, enjoy the “newborn” photos. I’ll never tell how old he is.:)
