You may remember the D family from a few months ago. Back then mama was about 5 minutes pregnant and we ran out to do a family session to capture their life before a new baby turns it upside down! Well time flies (at least for me–I’m not the pregnant one!) and they’re back! This was a fun maternity/family session as part of their “watch the family grow” album we’re putting together. This is such a special time for them– the last few weeks before their family expands. I love this shot of Dad talking to Baby C. He’s just oozing pride and joy, isn’t he? Then there’s Mr. J. imparting his big brother words of wisdom. So cute! I know they’re counting down the days. And so am I. I am positively thrilled to be invited to be a part of Baby C’s entrance into this world. Stay tuned!

Meet their first “baby”. Should we consider this a family portrait of their lives before the newborn arrives? I’ll tell you, she’s very well behaved and great at following directions. I hope their next baby takes a cue from this one!
All kidding aside, we do have plenty of mom and dad alone. Who doesn’t love the canine family members? But I know you wanted an actual maternity session too! Thanks for being so patient! Enjoy the peek.

This was such a fun maternity session. It’s not every day that I have a pregnant mama telling me she wants to jump around and have me to take her picture in mid-air! These two came prepared with all sorts of ideas and had the best time doing it. They just love to have fun and it totally shows. I’ve only included one water fight picture, but trust me, there are more where that came from! In typical form, they’re also on their way off the island. So, this was also meant to be a farewell to Okinawa session to let them remember their time here. And they tell me this will be their first session as a couple so these will be the only photos of the two of them before kids. Hopefully we covered all the bases!
So, here’s your official sneak peek since the itty-bitty one the night before vacay didn’t really count.
